Ive been working on another quilt where there are hundreds of tiny applique pieces in each 10". there are plenty of experienced quilters who are kind of sick of the simplified stuff out there, we don't get better unless there is more challenging projects to aim for! Although I do like a 12" block as I am over 50 the eyes like a bit The Village Queenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10217713420032264946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7324438416051074736.post-52308381367562700562014-02-20T11:41:31.143-06:002014-02-20T11:41:31.143-06:00You´re a wonderful designer Reeze and we´re so luc...You´re a wonderful designer Reeze and we´re so lucky you can´t stop, :o) Lovely colors to play with during these winter months, too--keep having fun with these tiles and hugs! I love tiles and applique so I will be coming back often. I'm saving the blocks and hope to start them later this year as I finish off other WIPs. Thanks again!Angie in SoCalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01689281551068732574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7324438416051074736.post-19643452633776765472014-02-20T09:23:56.366-06:002014-02-20T09:23:56.366-06:00Thank you so much for these patterns. My father has passed away but many years ago he built my mom a kitchen with tiles just like these mostly in red. I am going to make mine the same way. He feels closer that way.kim mckinnonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7324438416051074736.post-6023560012854494482014-02-20T08:17:27.171-06:002014-02-20T08:17:27.171-06:00I have always loved tiles and these are beautiful....I have always loved tiles and these are beautiful. I love the "...Those tile patterns are amazing! I love the "california" quilt. I live in the sunny state and yes, the orange blossom is perfect! Perhaps if you made the blocks 12" finished squares the appliques would be more manageable? I'm (slowly) following along with your Fiesta de la Flores right now :-) Thanks for the blocks and the inspiration!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01673477735976609111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7324438416051074736.post-47466970157945380132014-02-17T03:01:37.446-06:002014-02-17T03:01:37.446-06:00First I want to thank you for these Beautiful free...First I want to thank you for these Beautiful free patterns you provide! I love applique and even enjoy working it by hand. If you wanted to simplify the block without changing the design elements, perhaps you could stencil some of them using fabric paints? I could see this working very well in the "orange blossom"- the orange flowers and the green leaves; even the darkest outlines of Debbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00553062044950957803noreply@blogger.com
