Midnight Posies BOM Block 2 Ready

I am so excited to be able to offer the next block in this Block of the Month Series: Midnight Posies. This second block is "Rosey Posey Churn Dash." Again the block is simple but the colors are dramatic. Bright colors against the black background really make this pieced flower block glow.

Download PDF File.

Please let me know what you think of this block, and the super simple directions for this quilt. After the BOM is over I plan to publish this pattern and your feedback will be very helpful. I wanted to make an easy quilt that a beginner would enjoy, that doesn't look like a beginner quilt. The bold fabric, floral theme, and simple border with fusible applique makes this quilt look so much more challenging than it actually is. That is the concept that drives all my patterns. I hope you enjoy making this quilt as much as I enjoyed designing and teaching it.

  1. I have been quilting for a little over a year now and only really seriously for the last 6 months or so. I was so excited to see this pattern. The colors are great (and so far, I dont see anything that I dont have in my small stash); I love it! It's very simple and very well explained. I think that it's a perfect beginning quilt! Thanks again for sharing this and Keep up the great work!

  2. Jenny, you are so welcome. I am delighted you like the quilt and can use your stash to make it. That is a real plus in a tough economy. While I am a strong supporter of my local quilt shop (obviously, hehe) I always appreciate when I can make a quilt from stash! I am pleased you find the instructions easy to follow. I really wanted beginners to feel confident with this project. Thanks for the feedback. Have fun with block 2. ~~Reeze

  4. HELLO;

    I just found your bom and I am happy about it. It looks very nice and seamt to be very easy. I just downloadet the pdf Datei, but when i saw it I was very disapointed because the picture frpm the block didn´t look as nice as in your blog. Normaly I load only the pdf Datei und often i make the bom later on as the bom is, i have to little time to make it in this time. But when I would see later on only the pdf Datei, I think I didnt wont make it, Now I loadet also your Blog picture to see how nice it rearla looks. But perhaps you can set in the pdf also evry month your nice picture. It´s only a tip from me!

    The fabric requeament pdf I like to get was´nt found on the pdf site. perhaps you can look after!

    Sorra for the mistakes, my english isn´t very well, but I hope you understand me.
