The 2017 Fair Isles Winter BOM has been so fun to design and make. I love doing the paper pieced blocks using the yummy blue and white batiks. The last block is nearly ready and will be posted on December 1. Be sure to get your free November block while it is still available.
There are two more installments for the Fair Isles BOM. They include the inner and outer borders. The borders use some of the bonus applique blocks. Of course, if you are using the setting provided, you can use any block from 12 pieced blocks for the borders if you don't do applique. However, the block size will be different to you may want to get the border patterns so you can resize your blocks for the borders.
Here is the December block which will be coming soon.
BUT WAIT --- while 2017 is winding down, I am hard at work on 2018 Free BOM!!!
I would love to hear from you. . . do you want another pieced BOM or are you ready for some applique? Floral or geometric? Modern or traditional? Batik, prints, blenders, or solids? Scrappy or planned? Stash buster or new fabric lines? Easy, medium, advanced?
Leave a comment with your suggestions. I will pick one comment at random to receive a free Holiday themed fabric charm pack! I also just got a stack of Mickey Mouse fabric charm packs. I will choose another random comment to get a pack of Mickey charms. They are adorable.
Thanks for hanging out with me again this year. You are the best!

I would love Mickey if I am so lucky. Both of these blocks are lovely. Lets see how about some scrappy applique that isn't too difficult to do. Perhaps in a Easter or valentine theme for 2018. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteHi, Reeze - I hadn't seen your BOM before. This is beautiful! Seriously beautiful. I'm pinning so I can remember to come and buy the pattern when it's out.
ReplyDeleteI would like another pieced quilt, some traditionnal but stash buster (scrappy) and advanced level for me.
ReplyDeleteI would love a pieced block sampler-type traditional BOM. Thanks for taking our suggestions.
ReplyDeleteI would love a scrappy vine-y applique in soft autumn colors. That is my go to type in my perfect world. Of course, anything you design will be just lovely. I've really loved the 2017 BOM and hope to get it done after I retire next year. Thanks for your generosity.
ReplyDeletePieced with appliques in the borders
ReplyDeleteAdaptable to variety of colors
Applique please although I do like all your patterns, keep up the good work. I do like working with batiks too.
ReplyDeleteI love your applique patterns! I would prefer medium to advanced in any colors you would like.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!

How about a scrappy floral applique BOM
ReplyDeleteI like Estie's idea of scrappy floral applique. Thanks for the patterns and the draw. raydeer@memlane.com
ReplyDeleteA stash Buster, floral applique with medium difficulty.
ReplyDeleteLove your designs thank you!
I love and I think it's beautiful everything you do, however it's a bit complicated, lots of detail. Thank you for all the work you have already done for us.
ReplyDeleteI would like small jobs.
Reeze, I love these paper-pieced blocks! At last, something a low-skill person like me can do and have something lovely.
ReplyDeleteApplique and scrappy piecing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your designs. Thank you for all you do.I love applique and hand piecing. Batiks are my very favorite. But will love anything you do.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of applique and only suffer through pieced when I have to. One of the reasons is that I like to use up my stash (to make room for more stash of course). A combination of difficulty levels would be nice. Sometimes it is the only way we learn how to work outside of our comfort zone. Perhaps start with easy and gradually sneak in harder elements periodically, etc.
ReplyDeleteI've loved all these blocks with the winter blues. Something with curves, pieced and/or applique, would be a change. I appreciate you sharing your talent and inspiration!
ReplyDeleteA floral applique would be wonderful. Thanks for sharing your wonderful designs.
ReplyDeleteI love your paper pieces blocks and am a great fan of stars and pinwheel puzzle quilts with maybe a few flying geese thrown in. Would very much like to see your take on this type of quilt...don't do scrappy so well unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteYour Bom from 2017 is so beautifulI, thank you so match. I would like a pieced quilt with some appliquee elements
ReplyDeleteThank-you for this year quilt pattern It is a beauty. love the paper piecing element of it .It makes those pesky points easier to do..I would like something that is Manly .and scrappy.
ReplyDeleteApplique, please, with some scrappy piecing (if you simply must include it... :) I'm a traditional needleturner and only piece when necessary. Thanks for all you do. Hope your holiday season is a happy one!
ReplyDeleteLove applique! Love your designs.
ReplyDeleteApplication, gerne med blomster og mĂĄske noget moderne.

I would like a scrappy stash buster. But batiks would be nice also.
ReplyDeleteBatiks are my favorite, so rich looking, and color movement within the fabric.
ReplyDeleteApplique please, I posted a comment before I read this one, it says "sewing theme items with nice lace and trims". Thanks you for a chance and for all your hard work in getting us these beautiful block of the months. Happy Holidays!
