February Seminole Sampler Row Posted

Here is the second row of the Seminole Sampler block of the month.

Click on the 2016 BOM tab at the top of the page to get the link to the free row.
And there is a new give-away for February!  Post a picture of your completed January row and be entered to win a free batik jelly roll.  All the details are on the 2016 BOM tab.

Several folks have been asking for the fabric requirements for the whole BOM project.  Well, I am still working on those.  I have several patterns I am writing now (for which I get paid) and the ones that I give away for free keep falling to the bottom of the list.  I am sorry about that, but when they make it to the top of the list you will be the first to know!  LOL

I am also working on a new Deco Gardens Block.  You may purchase this block pattern at Morning Glory Designs.  It is a 12" block (like the others) and will work beautifully with the other blocks, if you have been collecting those.

This is Deco Garden Block 14 Peony

  1. I am sorry! I have followed you for about 5 years. Your patterns are the best! But to tell us a pattern where we are really interested in is just not important enough to you to spend a bit of time for fabric requirements, so we can show you each month we have honoured your pattern enough to meet the deadline for an additional prize! If you are me constrained, maybe review of all priorities is needed, not just the ones you "get paid for". I guess I do not need to participate either.... Was so looking forward to the challenge! Thank you, Leslie

    1. I have posted the fabric chart from EQ7 on the 2016 BOM page. You may use that to calculate yardage for the whole quilt. When I have time to break it out, row by row, I will repost a revised fabric chart. In the meantime this will get you started. Or you can always subscribe to the fabric kits, and then you won't have to worry about yardage. It will be send to your mailbox every month! A great alternative!

  2. I agree with Leslie. Fabric requirements should come first.

  3. Wait. You're getting the patterns for free - which are a LOT of work to create - and you cannot be gracious enough to wait for Reeze to pay the bills or meet deadlines before figuring the fabric requirements? Be disappointed you have to wait. But don't be rude about...

  4. I have to agree with Kathy. I have only recently discovered Reeze's website and have been absolutely thrilled with her patterns. That she has willingly shared with us for free should be seen for the gift that it is. I am appalled that anyone would criticize her for trying to put paying her bill first. Shame on you.

  6. Normally a lurker, but I'd like to remind folks that things shouldn't be said on social media that you wouldn't say to someone's face. Think before you hit send...

  7. Thank you so much for this wonderful BOM! I appreciate all the time and energy and dedication that you put into these projects that you so generously share with us at no charge! I am sorry for the sense of entitlement and rudeness of some and hope that their comments do not discourage you.

  9. You are very generous to share a free BOM -- so please
don't let unpleasant comments upset you. Most quilters
have a stash and can dig out some fabrics that will work in this BOM or can buy some solids they like and
    enjoy creating.

  10. I typically don't care that much for row quilts, but I love this one so far! Reeze, thank you for this wonderful gift!! Shame on the complainers!
